2020 VISION

It’s a new era, it’s a new time. The 2020s have arrived. God is saying from 2020 and on things need to change in the body of Christ. There needs to be less lip movements, less talk going on, and more seeing. And when there’s more seeing, there’s more doing. We need less hearing and more seeing. Those who hear the word must do the word. Yet if we never have sight of the word, we will never do it. 

Many today hear the word and never do it. Why? Because they have no sight. Many are professing to believe the word but never see the manifestation. Why? Because they are blind. Too many blind Christians are currently inhabiting the church. Though we need more seers! We need more revelation and understanding. I’m not talking about seeing things in the flesh. I’m talking about the eyes of our understanding. 

Many of us say things and do things and we don’t even understand what we’re saying or doing, and then the enemy comes and beats down our mind. Then the enemy comes and steals the seed. Most of us barely understand anything. This is what shuts us down from having ears to hear. This is what keeps the Lord quiet when the things He has already given us we don’t seek understanding of. 

When we don’t understand the word we have heard, it’s like a seed that never took root in the ground. And then the fowler of the air comes and steals the seed, steals the word. Many of us hear a word on the power of our tongue but never open our mouth because we don’t understand it. 

We hear a word on sowing seeds or walking in love but we never do either because we have no idea what we’re hearing. The water hasn’t turned into wine. The word has not become flesh in us yet. Then here comes the devil putting Kool-Aid in our water, making us think it’s revelation, but it’s just a false interpretation of the word we heard.

You can have revelation from God, counsel from God, knowledge straight from the throne room, and never understand it because you’re trying to understand on your own. It was just like Peter praying on his roof and God shows him a vision of insects and unclean animals and God says to him, “Kill and eat,” and Peter was resistant to it because he had no understanding.

Yet Peter went to preach to a Gentile for the first time, understanding came and he finally knew that the vision meant it was time to preach to the unclean and make them clean. That’s just like with us. God shows us something or tells us to do something, and because we don’t understand, we reject it or we are resistant towards it.

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

This is the problem in this day. Too many people are relying on their own understanding, hearing the same words, preaching the same messages, reading the same bible, yet understanding it their way. And our way is never God’s way. His thoughts are higher than ours. This is why we can never see!

Abraham saw! And that is what made him a father of faith. He saw the promise and never tarried. Why? Because he saw. He didn’t just talk about the promise or just repeat what God said or even put it on his refrigerator. No, he SAW it. He saw his barren wife pregnant because he could see in the Spirit what was to come. He saw the millions of children of faith that were considered from him even though he never saw it in the flesh. 

“(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.” Romans 4:17-21

Who called those things that were not as though they were. And people use that for the prosperity Gospel and say, “Well, I believe for a mansion so I’m going to keep calling it out loud until it happens.” No, we’re talking about the fact that Abraham was able to see!

He had sight in the Spirit, and that scripture finishes saying he was fully persuaded of what he was promised and that God was able to carry it out! He was able to see his wife was pregnant when she was barren. How many can believe past what they see with their eyes?!? And how many times did his wife call him crazy but he still believed! 

How many can see things and believe for things fully persuaded without even an ounce of doubt that something that is not in front of them exists? That something that is not happening is actually happening or going to happen. We need to have sight! We need to stop seeing through the blurry lens and guessing what’s in front of us. 

We need clarity! We need to start seeing the deep things of God clearly, with our hearts in full agreement with what our spiritual eyes are seeing. Many of us have been given a vision by God and we can never carry it out and do it because we don’t really see it! Though when we see it will believe it. 

The Bible says blessed is the man that believes and does not see. Yet we still need to see in the Spirit! We still need to be revealed what we believe. We didn’t blindly pick Christ and say, “Hey, I think He’s God.” No, when we had our encounter, we believed and we knew without a doubt Jesus was God. God opened our blind eyes and showed us that He was our savior. Yes, we need to believe without seeing in the flesh, yet the only way we will believe in spirit is if we see in the Spirit!

God, give my heart eyes to see. Let me see the things I read in that word! Not just talk about it and never truly believe it. Turn the water into wine. If I can’t see it, I can’t believe it, Lord, and I want to believe! I need the eyes of my heart to see. 

We need to be like the man who cried out, “Jesus, I believe but help my unbelief.” He was crying for spiritual sight. We need to be like Zacchaeus. He climbed high so that he could see! 

We need to be like blind Bartimaeus and beg as he did. Beg that we can see. We are a generation that is getting tired of all the talk, a generation that’s tired of little manifestation. I tell you this: when we see, manifestation comes. When our perspective changes: Our life changes! When we have godly perspective, we begin to have aerial view. And the enemy can’t touch the eagles that fly high above all the predators.

When we have that kind of view that is above every earthly mindset, we start to see everything the enemy is doing. We start to see the enemy trying to do attacks before he even attacks, and we’re always one step ahead. 

Jesus, give us sight. This is the time for us to have 2020 vision in spirit and in truth. We don’t want to just hear about you anymore, we want to see you.
