Opportunity to Sow Seeds

Desperate Soul, By Ronwaldo Francisco

It’s becoming easier to discern how desperation is handled by the world versus the Kingdom of GodWe all came out from it and are still being delivered from itIt’s Satan’s playground, after allWe were all deceived by it. Brainwashed by the lies and its standards. Our eyes covered in darkness. Our ears plugged up with noise. Our hearts deeply woundedOur souls - broken, shattered, fragmented, and damaged…

With the complexities of life brewing from every corner, we were lost, confused, and simply overwhelmed

At one point, we became Desperate…

Desperate to fill that unquenchable void in our hearts…

Desperate to fit in…To be different…To be accepted…To be successful…To be happy…to find peace to find ourselves

Desperate to seek power, wealth, and fame

And even Desperate to seek guidance from everything else BUT Jesus Himself.

Our mind, will, and emotions governed us. Shameless at times, shameful on others, prideful, envious, joyful, angry, excited, happy, and depressed – we were all over the place. Because we operated in uncertainty, life was out of control.

In the midst of this chaos, worldly mindsets started to form- A victim mentality, a poverty mindset, false burden-bearing, false humility, discontentment and worse, a religious mindset, to name a few.

Our intentions became selfish and corrupt in order to cope and survive in this evil world. Our motivations were affected by society. Factors such as age and our circumstances directed our decisions. Our self-worth became dependent on the flawed and sinful nature of man and his unstable thoughts and ways. We allowed man to define us. Negative agreements were made consitently. And the power of death was being spoken into existenceunknowinglyCaused by rejection, fear, and neglect we became angry, depressed, and even suicidal. We fell into the trap of addictions with drugs, alcohol, sex, and pornography just to escape from this false reality. We start to degrade others to feel better about ourselves. We start to dress a certain way, talk a certain way, and act a certain way to fit in or to conform to our surroundings. Even our sexual identity got messed with in the processIn our search to find goodness on this Earthsome of us ended up opening ourselves into the New Age Movement and False-love movement. To the other extreme, some have dabbled in the occult and witchcraft to gain power and control….

Simply put, this world…is exhausting…

While our souls desperately cried out for help and for a way outwe still managed to keep silent, put on a fake smile, and cover the ugliness within usTired, running on empty, and striving…when we get to step back for a moment and take a breath from drowning, we often askedourselves, when will this end? When will I get rest? Is there more to life than this?

But distracted by the world, we went about living, and going through the motions of life ignorantly or worse, knowingly, being led to our destruction and naturally committing abominable acts that the Lord hates

(Proverbs 6:16-19 and I Corinthians 6:9)

Trapped in a vicious cycle of deception, Satanmockingly laughs at the frailty of humanity, but from time and time again he underestimates God’s creation, especially when that desperation that has kept the victim bound, breaks them and their search leads them to the one that died for them. Within that frailty lies redemption, resurrection, empowerment, hope, salvation, transformation, and life abundant! Within that frailty, sets up a desperation for anintimacy with our Heavenly Father – just as it was in the Garden.

While the enemy intends to kill, steal, and destroy, Jesus intends to resurrect, restore hope, and reconcile us with God. Jesus’ light always pierces through the darkness -preserving, breaking mindsets instilled by the enemy from years of liestorment, and abuse, and building upon Kingdom values and principles, piecing together all the broken parts, and allowing us to realize our identity in Him with the guiding hands of the Holy Spirit. He empowers us to have repentive heart and keeps us in the straight and narrow while we overcome sin, naturally. As we are made whole again, we begin to realize how opposite the Kingdom of God truly is from the world. Those that find Jesus and diligently seek after Him, will undoubtedly find Him and realize the depth of their sonship with God– the very thing that Satan lost and wants to steal from all of us, in return.

As we continue to abide in Him, our desperation shifts towards our Creator. We begin to run after His heart. His desires become our desires. We learn to be dependent on Him in all we doWe learn about the authority He’s given us to rebuke the enemy. Our self-worth is defined by our Creator and not by man. We learn to surrender our free will and let His will be done in our lives.  Our intentions become selfless, pure and sanctified unto Him. We see the importance of serving others, being transparent, and accountable. We see the power of forgiveness, grace and mercy. We begin to embrace His Holy flames that will help mold us in His likeness. That void in our hearts become filled. The chaos that used to fill our minds quiets down and we hear the voice of God clearer and stronger, strengthening our faith in Him. We begin to understand and feel His heart for the lost. In return, He will anoint and use our testimonies of desperation to heal the brokenhearted, preach deliverance to the captives, recover the sight of the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised (Luke 4: 18)Most importantly, our unbelief shatters because we truly start to believe the words Jesus spoke directly from His mouth:

Jeremiah 29:1111 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future

Matthew 6: 25 & 33-34. 25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?...But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Proverbs 3: 5-7, Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

In the process of this great transformation, we find the true joy, peace, love, and stability we’ve been searching for in any situation we’re in. As the rest of the world around us changes drasticallywe know The Lord is our rock, and our fortress, and our deliverer; our God, our strength, in whom we will trust; our buckler, and the horn of our salvation, and our high tower."
